AC Repair
Transparent pricing on every make and model, with a technician who tells you the truth about whether the unit is worth fixing before any work starts.
We repair first, on purpose
Optimal Air's stated position is plain: we do our best to keep the unit you already own running for as long as it reasonably can, and we only recommend replacement once repair has genuinely become the more expensive path. That is not a sales script, it is the order the diagnosis happens in. A technician traces the actual fault, whether it is a failing capacitor, a low refrigerant charge, a seized fan motor or a control board that has stopped talking to the thermostat, and prices that fix before anyone mentions a new system.
What a diagnostic visit covers
A technician checks refrigerant pressures, electrical connections, the condenser fan and compressor, and airflow at the air handler, then explains what is wrong in plain language before any work begins. Pricing is transparent up front, and it applies the same way whether the unit outside is a Trane, a Lennox, a Carrier or something older than either of us. If parts need ordering, you are told the timeline, not left guessing.
Optimal Air is a certified Trane Comfort Specialist and NATE certified, rated 4.9 from 959 Google reviews, and every repair carries our 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. Call (832) 779-1008.

Signs it is time to call, not wait
- The system runs constantly but the house never quite gets to the set temperature.
- Warm air comes out of the vents, or airflow at the registers has dropped off noticeably.
- Water is pooling near the indoor unit, or you notice a musty smell when the system kicks on.
- A new rattle, grind or repeating click starts when the outdoor unit cycles on.
- The breaker for the AC trips more than once, or the outdoor unit hums without starting.
- The summer power bill jumps with no change in how the house is being used.
Any one of those is worth a call before it becomes a Sunday afternoon with no cooling at all. Our office runs mon - fri: 7:00 am - 10:00 pm Monday through Friday and sat - sun: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm on weekends, and emergency repair is covered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, because a failure in a Houston August does not wait for a convenient time.
Financing for a repair you did not plan for
A failed compressor or a system old enough that repair tips into replacement does not always arrive on a convenient paycheck. Financing runs through Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., subject to credit approval, with 0% APR options over 24, 36, 48 or 60 equal monthly payments so the fix does not have to wait.
If the unit turns out to need replacing rather than repairing, see AC installation for how we size and price a new system. If it is closer to a checkup than a breakdown, AC maintenance covers what a seasonal tune up actually includes.
